Verizon Users Want The iPhone

A recent survey by market research group ChangeWave (pdf)showed that more than half of all Verizon users surveyed would likely buy an iPhone if the chance arose. They surveyed more than 4,000 carriers of the carrier, of which 19% were very likely to purchase the device if it came to Verizon, and 34% were somewhat likely.

They queried users of all the major wireless service providers about if they were planning on changing companies in the next 90 days. AT&T had the lowest rate of deserters — only 8% “very likely” to change provider. ChangeWave attributes this to the iPhone exclusive. Where 45% of Verizon customers were “very satisfied” with their provider, only 15% of AT&T users were.

In other words, Verizon subscribers want the iPhone, iPhone subscribers want Verizon.
