The First Use Of iPhone 3.0’s Hardware Interface? A Sharper Image Clock
When the iPhone 3.0 OS was announced last year, part of the SDK was that developers would be able to create custom hardware interfaces, that would plug into apps, and work as glucose meters, and other life saving devices. Yet months later, we haven’t really seen it.

The Sharper Image seems to think their $79 Roman Clock Speaker is the first, and they might be right. You drop your iPhone into the dock, and the front changes to an analog clock, pointing at the outer ring/speaker.
Two points: I thought Sharper Image went under; and now that this is out of the way, can we get cool stuff? I still want my collapsible keyboard/battery pack, so I can write from the pub.
