Tales of the App Store: Wi-Fi Sync Rejected
In April, a developer created Wi-Fi Sync, an app that allowed you to do exactly what it says on the label — sync over Wi-Fi. Crossing his fingers and throwing fate to the winds, developer Greg Hughes sent it through the app store. Unsurprisingly, it got denied. Hughes says of the reviewer that rejected the app:
“While he agreed that the app doesn’t technically break the rules, he said that it does encroach upon the boundaries of what they can and cannot allow on their store. He also cited security concerns.”
So Hughes is now selling it over Cydia for $9.99 a pop. If you can’t go legit, go jailbroken.
