Tales Of The App Store: Apple Blocks iFart From iPad

ifartshotAccording to TechCrunch, Apple has blocked infamous flatulent app iFart for the iPad. According to the app store approval process, it was blocked for “minimal user functionality”. Apple now appears to be targeting soundboard apps in general, as not having enough content for them to be of use.

iFart for the iPhone sold 100,000 copies in its first 14 days, and was once one of the top twenty iPhone apps of all time.

It appears as though Apple is setting the bar slightly higher with the iPad, and limiting apps that have little or no use, even if they are extremely popular.

I can’t say I’ll be particularly sad to see iFart go. Maybe it’ll arrive again, if they figure out a way of adding more user functionality.
