SquareTrade Drops Price On iPhone Insurance
With AT&T rumored to start a new iPhone insurance scheme that looks like it will be excruciatingly expensive, third party gadget insurers SquareTrade have dropped the price on their coverage of the device. They’ve put up a special offer of two year’s coverage for only $99, down from their usual $124. They cover drops, spills and normal use failures, and if they can’t fix it they will pay you cash value to replace the unit. Free overnight shipping to and from their depot is included in the service.
There is a $50 deductible, but compared to AT&T? That’s a freaking bargain!
You have to pick up SquareTrade’s insurance within 90 days of purchasing your new iPhone, so if you’re going to be lining up in June for an iPhone 4, now’s a great chance to protect your phone on the cheap.
