For those iPad detractors who wanted the iPad to be more Mac-like vs iPod touch-like, you may just get your wish. According to TechCrunch, their source(s) say that Apple has a second tablet in the works, one that would run OS X. They say, Apple is pretty far along on work on a second tablet device.

It certainly makes sense. There was no lack of excitement from Mac users clamoring for a touchscreen Mac tablet. Whatever your take is on the iPad, it is more iPod touch than it is Mac and that’s perfectly fine for a large group of users. How large we’ll find out when the iPad is released sometime in late March. For that other group, just maybe the dream of a touchscreen Mac tablet lives on. MacPad anyone?
