More Tablet Hardware Rumors

Two more pieces of news about Chinese hardware have filtered down, adding even more fuel to the rumor fire about the oft-discussed Apple tablet.
Firstly, Apple engineers have been travelling to China repeatedly of late, and their travel plans even include some journeys over the Christmas seasons, says Business Insider. While their source doesn’t give enough detail to say if they’re talking to already aligned manufacturers, sourcing out new ones, or even looking at nearly complete models, the ramp up in visits means something’s brewing.
Secondly, Apple has contracted a new battery producer, according to DigiTimes. The company, C-Tech, has previously made battery packs for notebooks and cellphones, and want to expand into e-book readers and electric vehicles. Given their experience in larger capacity devices, they’re seen as a potential source for tablet batteries.
