iTunes Rumored To Join Facebook Connect

TechCrunch is reporting that iTunes might start integrating with Facebook Connect in the near future. While details are slim at this point, it sounds like the service would allow you to share recently purchased music with your Facebook friends. This comes in the wake of iTunes app store functionality being folded into a Facebook page, and TechCrunch notes that Apple’s recently purchases Lala powers FB’s song gifting feature.

The ability to share music over Twitter or Facebook from within the iTunes music store already exists, but it’s a bit basic, so maybe this will create a smoother integration of the features. It’ll be interesting to see if this has any bearing on the iPhone OS event for Thursday 8 April.
