iTunes In The Cloud Coming This Summer?

Apple has been discussions with four major labels, talking about getting getting a free streaming music player up and running, says CNet. The service would allow users to keep a version of their files online in Apple’s servers, and stream it free from there at their leisure. According to CNet’s sources, Apple is shopping around the service as “value add”, something that could whet peoples appetites for more downloadable sales.

The WSJ article that showed up yesterday dropping lots of information about the tablet, also had a snippet about streaming iTunes. They say that the online version of iTunes could arrive as early as June, however the program they describe is more like an online storefront for iTunes rather than a streaming service.
