Is Sonic 4 Destined For The iPhone?

Recently, Sega unveiled their newest game in the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise, which is destined for XBox Live Arcade, PSNetwork, WiiWare and a mystery console. Will the spiky blue speedster find his way to the iPhone too?
Sonic 4: Episode 1 is being heralded as a return to form for Sega’s old mascot, as the company have promised a game that is entirely 2D and only stars Sonic.
Sega has released older Sonic games for the iPhone previously, so the platform is obviously high enough profile to draw the company. Overall, the internet seems to think that the first episode of the new game will be purchasable for the iPhone.
