iPod/iPhone To Be Have TV Tuner And DVR?

A rather curious patent was dug up by Patently Apple which shows new technology which might just make its way to the next round of iPods (and maybe even the iPhone). It would have a TV tuner built into it, for access to over the air channels, satellite and cable. Not only that, but it would be able to recognize, record and save the shows and music, for later viewing. Essentially, it would function as a tuner and DVR, enabling you to record and watch shows at your leisure.

The patent includes breakdowns for clickwheel iPods, so this might be a rather widespread implementation of the technology, assuming it ever hits the market.
