iPad Camera Reference Just Bad Copyediting

Last night AppleInsider posted a story that hinted at a camera for the iPad. They noticed that Apple’s iPad management profile policies that are for corporate customers allows the ability to disable the camera. These tools generally let businesses decide what their devices can and can’t do — like blocking YouTube — and part of that is no letting people take pictures. However, the iPad has no camera — so does this mean there’s a new model in the works?

Not necessarily. As Engadget points out, the offending list of features is a direct copy and paste from the equivalent iPhone document, camera and all.

As disappointing as this sounds, I wouldn’t discount the next iPad from having a camera. In fact, I’d almost be willing to put money on the fact that it will.
