iPad App Store Goes International
The iPad App store has started functioning for users in Europe and Australia, says Engadget. All of those folks who picked up their iPad on the gray market (or while visiting) are now finally able to download apps in their native region.
The iPad isn’t officially to go on sale internationally until May 28 — some eight days from now. It will only be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK to begin with. Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore will be in the second round of releases, in July.
So, to all our users on the other side of the pond — or both ponds, as it seems — what’s first on your list of apps to download?
