Google Voice Now On Any Mobile Number

Google’s excellent Voice service is now available without having to change to a new number, but only at reduced capability. What the service does do, is give you access to Google’s voicemail system, which lets you listen to your messages from a computer, or read them via auto-transcription. This lets you use some of the more useful features of Google Voice, without having to tell everyone you know to use a new number.

What’s missing is the ability to forward or block calls, or use Google for SMS. Google voice is still invite only, but they’re fairly easy to get.
