FCC Gets iPad Teardown
The FCC have completely disassembled an iPad on camera, giving us our first proper glimpse of the device’s innards. While part models are blacked out for trade secrecy, it’s interesting to see how much free space seems to be available in the case. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to tell from these images if the earlier rumored camera-opening is in fact present in the screen, but there certainly seems to be enough open area to handle some extra hardware. Maybe that’s what Apple going to expand into in future generations of the tablet.
You can bet that by tomorrow, an enterprising repair firm will have torn the iPad to shreds, and its secrets will lie bare.
