Apple Signs On New iPhone Parts Maker, Flirts With USB 3.0?

Manufacturing news source DigiTimes have a number of hardware related news stories about Apple today.

Pegatron Technology is reported to start manufacturing for Cupertino, in order to craft the fourth generation iPhone, which is expected to land at some point this summer. Foxconn Electronics is also said to be working on the device.

Radian Opto-Electronics will reportedly ship 300,000 LED backlight units (BLUs) for the iPad. The company itself calls this speculation.

Genesys Logic has been showing USB 3.0 controllers to a secret client, who Digitimes believes is Apple. Genesys denies this, but given that USB 3.0 will probably become widespread within the next year or two, we would not be surprised to see Apple start implementing it soon.
