Apple Releases iTunes 9.0.2 Update, Kills Palm Pre Sync Dead

Apple today released iTunes 9.0.2, a minor update aimed at providing support for today’s Apple TV 3.0 software update. While they were at it, Apple also killed Palm’s webOS Media Sync dead. We’ve speculated before that perhaps Palm would grow tired of the inevitable, but they continue to pump out webOS updates that re-enable media syncing with the Pre, so we’re expecting they’ll have an update soon enough. Of course, Apple will then kill it dead and we’ll report on it here. The dance my friends is growing old.

Those planted firmly in the Apple camp should have no worries about updating to the latest version of iTunes. Here’s a brief overview of what’s included in iTunes 9.0.2.

iTunes 9.0.2 adds support for Apple TV software version 3.0, adds an option for a dark background for Grid View, and improves support for accessibility.
