Apple Prepping iPod touch With Camera, Microphone

Rumors of an updated iPod touch with a camera has been making the rounds for months and according Wired, a well-connected source says these rumors are “on the money”. The new iPod touch is reportedly in production already and will also include a microphone, allowing to use it as a Skype phone.
Sources say the new iPod touch will go on sale in “two to three” months. That figure sounds about right to us, putting the new iPod touch on shelves in time for the holiday season.
Some are suggesting that the new iPod touch when combined with a Verizon MiFi could create a psuedo Verizon iPhone, but perhaps we’ll get the real deal sometime next year. Nothing to add on that front, but it’s safe to assume this new iPod touch appears on track for a release within the next few months.
