Apple Moves 3 Million iPads In 80 Days

The iPad is continuing to sell at record speed, and today Apple announced it has sold its 3 millionth device in just 80 days since launch.

“People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives,” said Jobs. “We’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month.”

It took Apple 28 days to sell the first million, and 60 days for the second. It seems as though sales have settled to a solid 1 million a month, and given a big Christmas rush, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them pass the 10 million mark by Christmas.
