Today, we have the ever entertaining Gene Munster, of Piper Jaffray. Lets give the ball a shake, and see what pops up!

He says: The tablet will ship by March, and Apple will sell 162,000 devices per month, for 2 million a year, or 1.4 million for 2010. This is based on him talking to Taiwanese hardware manufacturers.

Those are some mighty specific numbers, but from a decent-ish source.  Munster has a good reputation as an analyst, and is currently also predicting a multiple carrier iPhone in 2010, and revamped Apple TV in ‘11.
