Free iPhone Game – Twilight: The Movie Game
Are you a fan of Twilight? You’d best head over to the App Store while Twilight: The Movie Game is free
RealArcade has released a game of the Twilight movie, and it’s available for free, but for a limited time only.
Twilight: The Movie Game is a quiz that features hundreds of questions about the Twilight universe. You can play alone – just to test your own Twilight fan credibility – or take on a fellow fan and see who knows the most about Stephanie Meyer’s creation.
The second film in the Twilight series, New Moon, has just been released, so the timing of this Twilight freebie is no mystery. Cynicism aside, if you’re a Robert Pattinson fan or just an admirer of the books, we’d recommend heading on down to the App Store before this gets a more imposing price tag.

Free iPhone Apps To Waste 5 Minutes (PHOTOS)
People always want to focus on using the iPhone to be productive. I’m certainly no exception, but for this article I’d like us all to embrace the fact that the iPhone is excellent at wasting time. In fact, the iPhone App Store provides more than 100,000 ways to spend your time, and I want to highlight just a few of the many apps that have absolutely no productive value. Got 5 minutes to spare and no desire to get anything done (or buy anything)? Well then I’ve got some apps for you…
So, finally, there’s Photoshop for your iPhone, except that it isn’t the advanced designer and artist’s tool you can buy for $999. Instead it’s free and, as you can expect with that kind of price point, it bears little in common with the desktop Photoshop program other than the name. However, it is a great time waster that allows you to transform an iPhone picture in seconds. It’s got all the basics – you can crop, rotate, and flip pictures. You can make them black and white and change their tint and saturation. But it goes beyond that with some attention-grabbing and fun, if not entirely useful features. You can use the “Pop” effect you can turn your picture into an Andy Warhol like design. You can make a sketched version of your pic or change it into rainbow colors (who doesn’t want their picture changed into a rainbow?). It’s got great UI and makes it easy to save your pics to share.

iPhone 3GS Disappoints Repair Company
Were you one of the millions who stood in line to buy the new iPhone 3GS on opening weekend? A representative from an Austin based iPhone repair company joined the millions on opening day and had a totally different shopping experience than expected. A quick trip to the local AT&T store brought no long lines or hoopla… strange.
Taking a closer look at what the iPhone 3GS has to offer, the new model is a definite improvement over the first edition iPhone 2G model. However, what has proved disappointing is in comparing the new iPhone 3GS with its predecessor, the iPhone 3G. The 3G and 3GS models are almost identical except for a few modified parts. The two are so similar, in fact, that Apple doesn’t even put the “S” on the back casing! It appears Apple added the extra memory, upgraded a few items, and called it “3GS“. Should more be expected of Apple?
Further analysis of the new iPhone 3GS reveals that, although the same iPhone accessories are used for both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS models, they do not use the same iPhone parts internally. There are some iPhone parts that are interchangeable, but for the big-ticket items, they are different. The new iPhone LCD and digitizer look the same, but have smaller connections. OEM’s are trying very hard these days to change up parts on each gadget they come up with so they can keep the out-of-warranty repair guys on their toes and keep the revenues in their pockets! When a consumer repairs a device without going through the manufacturer, OEM loses money… that’s a fact!
All in all, if you want to get rid of your iPhone 2G and upgrade to the iPhone 3GS… take the plunge. However, if you are planning on upgrading from the iPhone 3G to an iPhone 3GS, it is recommended that you stick with your 3G until Apple comes out with a new design and/or more features. From an iPhone repair standpoint, repair companies love the 3GS, as it is expected to break just the same as the 3G series. The iPhone 2G was built better for rough use, so be careful. Come on Apple, don’t you think it’s time to “Wow” us again with a new slick looking, feature-packed phone?

Apple To Boost Maps
Apple is looking to hire a new software engineer, specifically for the Maps app. The advertisement reads (in part):
We want to take Maps to the next level, rethink how users use Maps and change the way people find things. We want to do this in a seamless, highly interactive and enjoyable way. We’ve only just started.
The job is centered around MapKit, the MapKit framework, Compass and Location Based Services on the iPhone and iTouch. Rumors are swirling that this may be an attempt to separate Maps from it’s Google roots, and perhaps even bring some of the functionality that Google recently brought to Android.
